«Haunted» in the Living Space — Light, Ashes, and Future Visions
Share
Here we are with the finished piece of «Haunted», placed as it could live in a space like yours.
Take it in. Imagine staring at it, touching it, feeling the raw, physical texture built into every layer.
Depending on where you place it in your room, the artwork completely shifts throughout the day. Under the gentle glow of morning light, the sharp natural daylight, the warm cast of sunset, or even just a subtle lamp in the corner—you will see completely different 3D depth and effects emerge. It’s as if the painting actively invites the light in, breathing and changing alongside the room.
A Note on Scale & Staging:
The original canvas size is 50 cm × 62 cm. For this interior staging preview, Gemini AI scaled it up larger so you can see just how grand and commanding the composition feels on a dark wall.
While I take private custom commissions for illustrations, my physical canvas sizes are carefully calculated. Logistics, future exhibition plans, and shipping both across Norway—and eventually overseas—play a huge role in how I build my physical pieces. (And for those reading closely... maybe I’ll be exhibiting somewhere near you sooner than you think! Consider that a hint of the future.)
For everyone who follows my work, you already know the deep story and weight behind this piece. If you want to see how it came to life from the ground up, check out my latest Instagram reels! I’m sharing behind-the-scenes clips from the earliest stages—including the physical process of burning illustration paper to harvest real ashes for the canvas texture.
