Haunted: The Evidence of Touch (Stage III of V)

True art shouldn't just sit flat on a screen. It needs to react to its environment, demand a response, and leave a permanent mark.

Haunted is a massive canvas, and the process behind it is a slow, deliberate evolution. If you read the earlier entries here on my website, you already know the backstory—the raw pencil drafts and the reasons why this piece had to be ripped from the subconscious. Now, we are in the thick of the physical labor.

I've been filming the entire process as the brush and palette knife collide with the surface. By building up the hyper-dimensional anatomy of the eye, the veins, and the heavy, cross-crossed reptile textures that reveal themselves when you squint, the piece is finally coming alive. It is currently 85% close to completion.

Texturing the Unseen

I want the light to hit this canvas and reveal a landscape of shadows, but more importantly, I want it to exist for those who cannot see. If you close your eyes and trace the heavy, rough ridges with your bare fingers, you should be able to reconstruct the entire shape, the depth, and the emotion completely inside your mind.

Later, I will be mixing heavy acrylic directly with organic ashes to give the piece pure mass and color.

If you choose to touch it, the stain of my Haunted will transfer to your skin. It will leave a physical residue—absolute evidence of something that was seen, thought, felt, and perhaps even smelled. You do not just look at this work; you carry a piece of it away with you.
